Steelfort is a São Paulo-based steel sourcing company. We source coated and cold-rolled coils from Asian mills for Brazilian manufacturers and distributors, and we combine several buyers into one mill-sized order.

Steelfort finds, negotiates and follows steel coil imports from Asia to Brazil. Our customers are companies that process flat steel every day: roofing and cladding manufacturers, drywall and light steel framing profile makers, white goods and metal parts producers, and steel distributors.
For a mill, this means one counterpart that speaks the technical language, sends complete specifications and consolidates demand from several Brazilian buyers into larger, more regular orders.
Why Brazil
Brazil is one of the largest steel-consuming markets in Latin America, with strong demand for coated and pre-painted coils in construction, agribusiness and manufacturing. New trade restrictions in other regions make Latin America an increasingly relevant destination for Asian coated steel.
Coated, pre-painted and cold-rolled coils.
We work with mills in China, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Malaysia and Indonesia. Specifications (thickness, width, coating mass, paint system, coil weight and ID) are defined per order.
Pre-painted galvalume
Al-Zn substrate with factory paint. Solid RAL colours and wood-grain patterns for roofing, cladding and panels.
Pre-painted ZAM
Zn-Al-Mg substrate with factory paint, for coastal, rural and industrial environments.
Zinc-aluminium-magnesium
Metallic coating with magnesium. Solar mounting structures, profiles, cable trays, agricultural structures.
Hot-dip galvanized
Zinc coating for drywall studs and tracks, light steel framing, ducts, roofing and formed parts.
Galvalume (Al-Zn)
Al-Zn coated steel for unpainted roofing and cladding, and as substrate for pre-painting.
Cold rolled
Surface and tolerance for stamping, white goods, steel furniture, welded tubes and re-rolling.
Consolidated orders, clear specs, inspected cargo.
Demand from Brazil
Our buyers define product, specification, volume and delivery window.
Consolidation
Orders from different buyers are combined into one mill-sized lot.
Negotiation
We request offers from qualified mills and close one order for the full lot.
Production & inspection
Pre-shipment checks of thickness, width, paint film, coating mass and mill test certificate.
Shipment
Breakbulk or containers to Brazilian ports. All cargo is insured.
Three import structures
Steelfort does not act as importer. Depending on the buyer, the importer of record is a partner trading company appointed by Steelfort (import on order, or in a state with import tax incentives: Santa Catarina, Rondônia or Alagoas) or the Brazilian buyer itself (direct import). Documents are issued accordingly for each shipment.
Main Brazilian ports
Shipments are planned to the port closest to each buyer, such as Santos, São Francisco do Sul, Navegantes/Itajaí, Vitória and Pecém.
Inspection before loading
We check coils at the mill before shipment and compare the mill test certificate with the contract. Measurements are photographed and shared with the buyer.
What we look for in a mill or trading partner.
- Production or reliable supply of PPGL, PPGI, ZAM, PPZAM, GI, GL or CRC
- Consistent quality, with mill test certificates for every coil
- Openness to pre-shipment inspection at the mill
- Clear lead times and stable communication in English
- Experience exporting to Latin America is a plus
- Quality certifications such as ISO 9001 are a plus
